update
It has been a while, but so much has gone on. In case you were wondering, the closer a teacher gets to May the busier she becomes. This past month and a half has been a blur. School was super super busy. My very first class graduated 8th grade. I can't wait until they graduate high school. It will be so interesting to see how much they have grown and matured! At school they are building new classrooms. I am one of the "lucky" ones that will get a new room. But for right now they moved me to a room about half the size of my old one. Please remember this is the 2nd time in 2 years that I have moved classrooms. But when I get in this new one, I won't move for a long long time.
Nora Claire...she is 9 months now. She has 6 teeth and is trying to walk. She takes about 8-9 steps and gives in. She hasn't figured out that it is faster to walk somewhere rather than crawl. She never stops moving!!! She looks more like a toddler now than a baby. She is so sweet. You can ask her for a kiss and she'll give you her open mouth kiss. She also gives 'loves" aka hugs. She has developed her own personality which can be sweet sometimes. She loves her baby. She has one at the babysitter, my car, and the house. She drags her baby everywhere. We found out that she loves the pool. I am going to try to post some pictures here shortly. I have alot of catching up to do.
Anthony got a truck! We got really lucky and found a great truck. I will post pictures of that also.

Life is passing us by!
Life is flying by right now. There is just not enough time in the day to totally enjoy it. I guess I enjoyed my Easter Break a little too much. I did want to come back to school, but I didn't want to get up THAT early. It is only 28 days working days until Summer Vacation!!! I am looking forward to that! I promise I am going to upload some pictures tonight or tomorrow from Easter and Avery Island. Let's see if I can do a real quick update on everything...
My birthday was great. Really it was just another day. Anthony got me a new digital camera. I just have to figure out how to get the optimum use out of it. We boiled crawfish at our house. We had to do it in the garage because the outdoor kitchen is not up to Anthony's standards just yet. The crawfish were great and the company was even better.
Easter break went by too fast. We got out of school early on Thursday, April 9th. We left Rayne Friday morning. It was a long drive that seems to get longer with a 8 month old. Yes, Nora Claire is 8 months old!! That is so hard to believe. She is walking with holding your hands. She is standing by herself right now some times. She just started doing that yesterday. She is going to be walking all too soon.
Well, hopefully I will get those pictures tonight.

pictures from this weekend
Is it sad that my sister has to tell me to post on my blog...yes, very. I am trying to stay up-to-date on this, but it is really hard right now. Nora Claire is SOOOOO SOOOOO active right now that it is hard for me to get time to even get on the computer at night.
Speaking of Nora Claire...she is now crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything. She would much rather walk holding your hands everywhere than crawl. She is definitely going to have Anthony's complexion. We went outside for a little bit this weekend and she already has a tan. I think she is also going to have Anthony' curly hair. This morning I had to wake her up to go to the babysitter and she had a little wave going on. It was too cute. I am about to make a statement and I know that many people will have alot of opinions, but please if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. Yes, Nora Claire does sleep in the bed with us. We did it out of necessity the first couple weeks-football and the lack of sleep-and have just continued. I told Anthony that as soon as he was ready that she would go out, but he hasn't said anything yet. She does usually get up at least one time a night. Form whatever opinions you want, but it was our decision and we are prepared to deal with the consequences, whatever they may be.
It feels like life is flying by us. NC is 7 months old!!! I'm sorry, but that is so hard to believe. She is developing her own little personality and now that Anthony doesn't have football or basketball we see him alot more! She loves her Daddy. This week I have play practice at school so Anthony gets to pick her up everyday and play with her until I get done. They get to spend some good quality time together. I still think that she is going to look like her daddy, but some people have different opinions. I have some pictures to post later. Life is just flying by. Her last check up-around 2/20 can't remember the exact date-she was 27 inches long and 17.8 pounds. She is wearing alot of 12 month stuff already. She can fit in some 6-9, but alot of the pants are too tight on her little tummy, but the 12 month stuff is still a little long. Not by much though. We will be in Monticello on Good Friday thru the following Friday. I don't know how I am going to manage to pack that much stuff to last us that long, but I guess I will figure it out.
Oh, almost forgot. We had to move up to a big girl car seat last week. Her feet were hanging off the end of the carrier. She loves her new one. Hopefully this will make trips to AR alot better. They weren't horrible to begin with, but now she can see me and not get freaked out as easily. Now I just need to get a DVD player for her. She loves watching Sesame Street, Barney, and Elmo. She watches these while she is at the babysitter playing. No, she doesn't just sit her down in front of the TV. She always has the TV on NC just plays and when she hears the music for the each show she watches them for just a little bit and then gets back to playing. It is really cute.

Update
I know, it has been forever since I have posted anything. But trust me, we have been overwhelmingly busy. Not to mention I have a 6 month old that like to be attached to me.
So, we moved into our new house. Hopefully I will take some time soon and take some pictures. Although right now you would only get to see boxes. We are slowly unpacking. I should have taken a couple days off just to unpack, but too late now. Everything will eventually find a place.
Allergy season has also hit everyone in our household down here. Everyone has a runny nose and some better than others. It started with Nora Claire. A couple nights ago she was running fever, probably a combination of teething and allergies. That didn't make for a pleasant night. Then Anthony wakes up with a runny nose and all the stuff that goes along with allergies. I soon follow the trend. You get the point.
My mom also came down about 2 weeks ago. Mardi Gras weekend to be exact and got to have her second experience of Mardi Gras down here. We usually go to Houma for parades, but with Anthony painting the house we didn't want to stray too far. So we went to Lafayette. Some were better than others. Nora Claire slept through a majority (4 out of 5) of the parades. So I guess you could say that she enjoyed her first mardi gras.
We are going to be heading up to AR the weekend before Easter and will be there for the next week. The whole week...my what will I do spending a whole week in AR?
If I am missing anything, just ask!

So we have a house!
That is the big news around our house right now. The mortgage company want us to close on....Friday the 13th!!!! Anthony really wants to, but I am kind of unsure about it. Either way we are going to get in the house by the end of the month. We have to go clean this weekend. Yes, just what I wanted to be doing on Valentine's Day weekend, cleaning a house. But seriously, it's disgusting. I am going to try to load so more pictures tonight, but it might be tomorrow before I get them done.
Oh, and MARDI GRAS is coming up!!!! Yeah!!!! We get some time off of school and get to go to some parades. I can't wait!!!

Great incentive
This is a great incentive for new homebuyers. I know it will help us greatly next year. You have to read the whole article to get the full effect. Even if your tax liability is only $5000, you can still take the whole $7,500. I know it doesn't take an accounting degree to realize that is a $2,500 credit. That is awesome.

Ahh, the joys of buying a house. We have the appraisal and inspection done. So hopefully we will be closing on February 20th. We are keeping our fingers crossed. We have alot to do. There are alot of little do-it-yourself things we have to do-make that Anthony has to do. More to come later.

As if our life wasn't already crazy enough, we throw buying a house in the middle of it and you have chaos! We looked at a house and made an offer all in the same day. So today we get up and go to Lafayette meet with a real estate attorney, then back to Rayne for the seller's wife to sign papers, then back to Lafayette to give them to the mortgage broker, back to Crowley to start dinner, back to Lafayette to sign mortgage papers, and finally back to Crowley. If my husband would have told me that we could sign the papers today, I would have made him stay. But that is besides the point now.
If everything goes right, we should be in a house by the end of February. Hopefully.
I finally loaded pictures off of my camera and hopefully will get them up tonight.

houses
Before Christmas break my husband decided it was time to start looking for houses. We have looked at a couple and found one that I like and Anthony did too at first. Well, to make a long story short, the guy didn't want to come down off the price at all and it was too high for the area. So a couple of weeks go by and in the mean time we decide to build instead of buy. Well, yesterday the real estate agent called and said that the guy would take what we were wanting to offer, but now Anthony doesn't want that house. UGH!!!!
We are going to look at another house this weekend. For those of you who don't know, we live in Crowley. There is a town 10 mins east of us called Rayne. We were looking for houses in Crowley because it's closer to ND. Well, the housing is wayyyyy more expensive in Crowley. Housing down here in general is wayyyyyyyyy wayyyyy more expensive than in AR. It has something to do with after the hurricanes Rita and Katrina. Anyways, it is really frustrating. We are pre-approved at 5% and are trying really hard to stay within our budget and the house we are looking at this weekend is well within our budget. I just wish my husband would make up his mind what he wants to do!!!!

Haley and NC at Christmas. Notice the ears, NC is taking after her Daddy.
Haley, Abriana, and NC at Christmas in Lonoke. We were trying out Haley's new camera. I am very jealous!
Abriana and her To-To (sounds like toe-toe). I don't really know how we ended up being Ta-Ta and To-To. Wait yes I do buy the story is too long. But she loves her To-To.
Just us
This is one of the few pictures of her smiling. No one's camera is fast enough to catch it.
I know that I am a little late, but better late than never, right? Well, Nora was about 4 months when these were taken at Christmas. She is now 4 1/2 months and can sit by herself and has a tooth! Wow how time flies.
School started back this past Monday and it was crazy. I could have used another week just to rest from traveling. Right now Anthony is coaching girls basketball and they are doing pretty good. They almost beat a top 5A team (ND is only 3A). They only lost by 3 points. They were supposed to get beat by 30. They played last night and won. Again they were not picked to win, but they did. We are still running around everywhere. Basketball games are Tuesday and Friday nights for about 4 more weeks. Anthony also starts his class at McNeese on Wednesday. Like I said, life is crazy right now.
Now on to Nora Claire. We started cereal about 3 weeks ago, and she loves it! I mix it with apple juice or pear juice to help her out. She likes it really thick and can eat almost 2 1/2 tablespoons 3 times a day. She is a little fatty. We got shots last Monday and she weighed 15 pounds and was 25 inches long. She is just growing. Other than basketball and Nora, there is not too much going on here.
